Integrated/Role Model Preschool Program 2020-2021 School Year
Posted on 03/09/2020

Suffolk Public Schools is currently looking for parents of children without delays who are interested in exploring the opportunities provided to all children in this classroom following the 2020-21 elementary school schedule at no cost to the parent, with transportation being provided via school bus.

Suffolk Public Schools operates a preschool program for children ages 3 to 5 who have been identified as having developmental delays (delays in cognitive, motor, communication or perceptual skills) and who qualify for special services. The integrated/role model program at various elementary schools provides opportunities for children both with and without developmental delays to develop socially and academically as they learn together through play.

To be considered for enrollment/interview, students must reside in the city of Suffolk and be 3 years old by September 3, 2020. Please be aware that spaces for this program are limited for each preschool site. Please use this link Integrated/Role Model Preschool Program to be directed to our online application. Applications for consideration must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2020. Those who are selected for an interview will be contacted by telephone and/or email. Program overview meetings will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, 6:30 PM at King’s Fork High School and Wednesday, April 8, 2020, 6:30 PM at Florence Bowser Elementary School. Parents must attend one of these meetings in order for their application to be considered.
